The dramatic shift in the Department of Justice's orientation on IP policy, as expressed by the top Antitrust official at the DOJ, Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim has led a bipartisan group of nearly eighty antitrust enforcers and academics to push back in detail on the policy shift in a May 17, 2018 letter. Delrahim's response letter issued the next day, which attached an earlier letter in support of the DOJ's shift, suggests that those waiting for a return to the prior policy on IP may be kept waiting . . . .
